By the way, a touch on Car Fax continues to crush the value of any car in the wholesale marketplace by 20%.  It is nearly scientific at this point.  It makes no difference what the caution is, for $1 or a total wreck, they don’t give a dollar value and therefore it is an morphadite to any legitimate buyer (with or without reason) so you are relegated to selling it to a trickster and a trickster is typically not an idiot.  He is looking for a massive edge and wiggle his way through the slippery passage of over talking the incident that Car Fax is so good at whispering, with no skin in the game, and categorically destroying the current owner’s asset value in a completely hairy-cairy way.

The current legal action taken by the New York based dealers will not be the last.  The entire picture of whispering information about another person’s asset is going to end in a disaster

It is no surprise when it hits but that doesn’t make it feel any better.  It was a Holiday last week so as usual we all attribute last week’s anemic sale to Labor Day weekend (not me).   I sold straight through the idea that it was the Holiday that made buyers less active .  As we saw this week it had zero to do with the Holiday.  We just went through the market switch.  If a car was a 2010 you have to count it as a 2009.  If it was a 2012, it is now a 2011.  Just price it a year older and you are fine.  But if continue to look at MMR and your brain is fuzzed out with rationalizing why the market is the way it is, expect to dig into your piggy bank.  If you were looking for MMR results yesterday you were the King of no-sales.  Personally, I sold everything, ten million in gross sales,  like diarrhea, nobody likes it, but it makes room for the new day that’s coming.  If you stay

It happens every week, last week three times.

Last week we had 3 units that had the treatment and sold for normal money.  The week prior they had no bids.  This seems like a sales pitch but it isn’t.  It’s a fact.  The product eliminates any stink that you can fine in a car.  Of course you have to clean the car before you treat it, but when you do it is 100% gone and much more important…sellable.

I had a 2010 S550 last week that was a no-sale, nobody looking, and it was white which is red hot in a S Class,  that I simply could not understand why there was nobody bidding on the car.  Low and behold, stunk like Christmas trees, you know the ones that hang on the rear view mirror that cover up the marijuana smell.  The stink from these “deodorizers”  gets in the

Due to having our Thursday sale pulled out from under us we are in deep poo for Friday…way too many cars, spectacular stuff, but way too many.  Manheim has made it impossible to get reasonable numbers for Friday so the vast majority of our cars will be running deep into the afternoon.  The no-sale kings have pretty much chewed up all the numbers that show any respect (as insane as that seems) which leaves us out to dry.

We have well over 650+ cars running, no match for the volume and selection anywhere else in North America, and 500 of the will be running after the rest of the sale is over.

A select three hundred car Thursday afternoon sale is the answer but we need to find a host.  Since what I consider my home auction is unwilling to do it I am working a a solution that will be good for all of us.

Friends and Valued Customers,

I am flabbergasted to have to tell you that Manheim has notified me that they are not willing to host our Thursday sale.  It was a great success due to all of your participation and I want you to know I deeply appreciate it.  I hope you all did well with the cars you bought.

I needed to find a way to sell more cars due to the fact that I am unable to get numbers at Manheim on Friday’s  even though, as you all know,  I bring multiples more and sell many multiples more than any seller in the country.   Necessity is  the mother of invention and my invention a one off Thursday sale worked perfectly.  Thursday at 1PM turned out to be the right time and day, but Manheim is not going to host it.

  It makes no
