ThanksforGiving us your business over the past 41
years. I truly appreciate it.
I am sure nobody will take the time to read this but I am
writing this from my point of view as well as my heart, not trying to sound
like a sentimental nut.
I am especially thankful for Freedom, Free Speech,
and Free Enterprise. These things are not unique the us in North
America, but they are recognized as our unalienable God given rights and on
this day I want to say thank you to our long forgotten predecessors that
sacrificed to make it possible for us to pursue what they recognized as a
driving force that motivates a human being, being able to pursue our dreams
while maintaining dignity. I cherish the ideas of Freedom which
to me is more important than food or air, Free speech, be it real
or imaginary based on commercial control of the media, and Free Enterprise even
if mature capitalism tends to retard the average individual’s possibility of
participating.
The automobile business is very interesting when we look at
who is in it, where they are from, why they are attracted to it, and how it
fits their will to work day and night to fulfill their economic, professional,
and emotional needs. Let’s think about you and why you are in it.
Most of us have less than stellar education, a bit of a rebel, want to do good for
yourself and by default for your family, and recognize that the only thing that
holds you back is how hard you want to work. There is little in the way
that traditional prejudice can stop you. If you are willing to work and
have a brain there is no limit to what you can achieve. I believe this is
why folks that come to North America looking for opportunity find the
Automobile business very attractive and they tend to succeed. They make
money and save it to insure their future. They are on a level playing
field as long as they remain competitive. They can outwork their
competition if they have the will to succeed. On and on.
If you think for a second, we have no real open forum to
really say what we really feel as all media outlets are controlled by the advertiser’s
and special interests and the truth may not feel good. I get that.
That is why the beauty of free speech is a beautiful thing that is not a
reality in our world, that we can’t change. What we can change is how we
do business. We are creatures of habit to an extraordinary degree as past
positive reinforcement, getting the job done in a particular way at a
particular place, brings us back to try to re-reap the reward. We pay
very close attention to things other than how much we sell a car for at the
auction. Among the things we pay close attention to is who is no longer
there, where they went, why they don’t come back any more, how much time and
cost is involved in the way we have chosen to do business, and the
unsustainable skyrocketing cost of the current process we use.
Over the past twelve years, while still doing business
like we all do, heads down, eyes on the moment, busting balls day band night, a
divorce or two in the wake because we work like animals, as we have been
smitten by the business we love, probably more than we should, which is a
different question, and we wind up as semi-slaves to a process.
As time moves on and technology advances, the price of cars
continues to increase, the cost of doing business skyrockets (have you looked
at your worker comp lately, Momma Mia), the amount of time in a day diminishes
(or is that just me? I think I’ll join the Marines again because time
went backwards there even though as all Marines say and wholeheartedly agree
that “ every day was a Holiday, every meal a feast, every night a Saturday
night and every lifer a beast”, sorry for the digression) and there is no
relief in sight. I saw this coming a decade or so ago and decided to dig
in. So here we go:
1. I
believe that a buyer and a seller want and need to do business. Our
solution is MADE Critical Mass Remarketing.
2. I
believe that transparency is paramount (the Universal Condition Report).
Nothing is more important in developing trust, the ignition switch for
simulcast transactions.
3. I
believe that the cost of sourcing cars is too high. The cost per
transaction in MADE Auctions and remarketing is a fraction of what we
experience today, buyer and seller
4. I
believe it is too difficult for a buyer to find what they want. MADE
Matching, a patent pending process, does it naturally.
5. I
believe that a MADE Swap can mitigate the loss of recon money and
unnecessary remarketing costs, permanently.
6. I
believe a live auction, MADE Simulcast, is the highest and best way for
a buyer and a seller to achieve their goals, a fair market value in seconds
7. I
believe the seller has to be ready to sell, not with his fingers crossed trying
to get unrealistic money, focused on the micro, forgetting the macro, MADE
Critical Mass Organization/Pricing via Headsart VMS
8. I
believe that once trust is established and the process has a transparent
verifiable MADE Mitigation help desk process accessible to buyers and
sellers 24/7, our world has changed.
9. I
believe that direct communication amongst dealers via MADE/Auttr
Mapping will be our future as opposed to random chance in the buying and
selling process.
Much more to come over the next few days prior to our first
sale 4 December at Columbus Fair Auto Auction, we are bring the cars c;oser to
our cherished mid west dealers for this event to show our appreciation of your
business over the past decades. Please get registered and familiarize
yourselves with the technology. If you decide to come to the sale, I will
pay your Hotel cost.
I will be writing again today and all day tomorrow to get
everyone up to speed, but if you aren't inclined to read more, which I
understand perfectly, have a blessed, free, Thanksgiving.
Sell Well,
Bob
