Once again I want to remind everybody that we are selling in new lanes in Manheim Pa tomorrow.  We are packed for bear and in lane 24 and 25 both lanes beginning at 9AM.  Imports in 25 that cannot be found at any other lane in North America (and they all will be sold).  Lane 24 starts the day with all low mile domestic creamers, slides into mile challenged units and ends the lane with a pile of mile challenged imports that are very hard to find in this critical mass grouping.

Because we are relegated to this end of the building to sell domestics in the import zone it should create great opportunity to pick off some very attractive buys as I am not going to no sale cars because they are placed in the wrong end of the building, I will be selling everything.  Get on the presale list, break out your proxy brain and dig in.

Thanks everyone for your loyal participation and we will see you on line or in the lane.  If there is anything I can do for any of you please call me and let me know.

Sell Well and buy better.

How did it go with the new lanes? Did you notice a slight up shift from the horribly soft market we have been experiencing lately?

Definitely not. I would say there was less activity and less general interest then I ever remember. I have never seen a market where a spectacular car can pass through the lane with absolutely no interest. I have been at auctions since 1972 and I honestly can say that this is the first time it is possible that a wild car may not have anyone interested. Without simulcast the business model of bringing cars to the world's largest auction is over. We had on average 170 dealers logged on my lanes throughout the day. How many are just watching I have no way to tell. Simulcast action however was not as good as it has been. No question that the demand for late model cars is at a all time low. Dealers are selling new cars, trading cars, and not relying on the auction to source cars like they have in the past. The number of attendees is way off as well. It is normal to have a one to one relationship of registered cars to registered buyers at an auction. There were 6,500 units regist
