Hey Flo, is that the Cops out front?

Cops are coming.

Don’t worry, not for me, but for traffic control.  This place is an absolute nut house.

People, cars, screaming, accidents, wrong VIN, Post-sale prevention insanity from months ago that pop up now (and I am dumb enough to handle the problems months after the auction told you to pound sand), trucker is lost, title lost after being turned in at the sale (thank God for Headstart as we have everything scanned, it’s like a miracle), parts stolen off the cars sitting on the sales lot (usually parts that are on national back order naturally), and this week they are stealing spoilers off old body style GX Lexus because they are $790 for the part alone, nuts I tell you.

This in conjunction with another comically tragic thing that we are dealing with recently, engine sludge in all BMWs and Mercedes.  For a while it was “rear sun screen”.  Then it was pixels on a perfectly working radio.  Then I was  diff noises on cars like a Cherokee sport that was built new with a “diff” noise at 41 ½ MPH.  Now keep in mind I have sold 20,000 BMWs and MBs over the past two years or so never had a buyer whine one time and have never had an engine sludge called once.  Now Prevention is on the “engine sludge” binge.  20 per week.  It’s clear that nothing has changed except someone made them pay for a car that really might have had a problem, one in thirty thousand, and we all now pay for the broken plates, short sighted, unfortunate and what happens when a no skin in the game player gets their tit too close to the fire, or reality we live in. You say impossible, I say insanity.  Unit with 129,000 miles, runs perfect and will do so for the next 5 years, deal blown up for who knows what or why.  Sure isn’t for the benefit of a car dealer, buyer or seller, just pure meshugas.

This all being said here is the  proof that we are nuts as we are digging in as deep as deep could be.  I am back  this week with 800 creamers.  Not 80, 800.  If you look at what we got you have to figure I have been backing things up for a few months.  No, this is what has been bought since last Friday, every one of them off the street, not an auction, not from Open nothing or OV something, all off the street.

From simply a historic perspective you should be paying attention even if you don’t need cars like everyone keeps chanting.  The historic perspective is it probably will never be done again.  A big shot might sell 80 for a week, chest all puffed up and so forth.  I’m selling 800, this week.  There will be no appraising or holding or bublejerking, just flat out selling.  As I said recently, our run numbers are a complete lack of respect or possibly lack of paying attention to what it means to us and our buyers but it will not deter me from playing the game with the odds stacked against us.  600 of our cars will be running from 1PM EST to 5:30PM EST so plan on a long day.

But I promise you if you are paying attention I will make it pay for you, you will be a buyer.  No place in North America can you find the following that is not only for sale, priced to sell, impossible to find, logically laid out at one place at one time.  Log on the website or go to Manheim.com, presales, Hollenshead, lane 24, 23, 05.  You ain’t going to believe it.

The idea that cars are in tight supply is the craziest fantasy ever.   We are actually going to break our own all time record for the most cars sold at auction in a day.  We have over 800 units in the 17545 and 50 more at State Line Auto Auction this Friday.  The Cops are here directing traffic, nothing but elbows flying in the shop getting them ready for their new owners.  This is going to be an event of record proportion.
