I love making history, it makes you think of great ideas

It happened.  I bought and sold 1,004 cars last week.  It was rolling down to the end of the sale Friday afternoon when my boss ( the comptroller of all our businesses and loyal, forgiving, supporting, partner of 25 years) called me to tell me I did it  (She was have pissed because she knows that is just the beginning, not the ending).  The 1,000th unit passed to a new owner under the hammer.   It was a relief as I feel quite sure that is something that will never be duplicated.  Until we do it again, soon, and on to 2,000, 10,000 and so on.

So the goal of buying and selling every car in North America…at least once, is still the plan.  Now with MADE remarketing in gear, as ridiculous as it sounds, it remains the goal.  If you ain’t a liar, I’m a buyer, no matter what and no matter where and when them hamburgs hit the block, there will be a new owner.

I had a revelation  in my sleep last night coming out of a drunken stupor. Here it is;  buy low, sell high, do it fast, do it often, you’ll look very smart and never need to ask anyone for anything.  I think I’ll write a book.

Sell Well
